“Don’t pass up this opportunity! They had a lot of nice things, and I found a gorgeous dress in my size and style for $10. Don’t miss the upstairs, which has shoes, books, and other items. As of this afternoon (April 12), they offer an incredibly lovely pair of forestal brown leather Hispanitas boots in size 37, I believe for $15. Go get these if that’s your shoe size!! If I could fit my gigantic size 41 feet inside, I would have bought them in a hurry.”

“Friendly staff and a clean secondhand store! There’s a lot to pick from, as well as “bag” bargains where you can fill a bag for a certain amount ($5 for a bag of shoes, $6 for apparel, with some clothing exempt). I had a great day because I found two extremely excellent merino wool sweaters!”

“Wonderful thrift store. I made a few purchases, but the guy at the desk continued staring at us. (Two ladies, 60 and 82) They may have people thieving, but it’s a little unsettling.”

“Love the op shop and the staff.”

“Some wonderful quality used goods and you can sometimes get a bargain… but I recently bought a set of baby garments for a virtually new shop price, so it can be fairly pricey if they think it’s worth the price (you are bound to find cheaper stuff on Trade Me). One nice lady there is fantastic at giving great deals on certain items, but you have to go at the appropriate time. There aren’t many children’s toys, and they’re a bit of a jumble to sort through.”

“I’d passed this Invercargill op shop a few times before, but I stopped in today and was pleasantly impressed. Good assortment of apparel and shoes, and I was able to select a few items at a reasonable price and of good quality. The staff is also quite friendly and helpful.”

“They have some good things, but you’ll have to work hard to find them! For example, I saw garments from The Warehouse in the “high end” section, so don’t rely on their categorising. (By the way, no criticism intended for the wonderful volunteers – they must sort through goods to categorise and sell – just pointing out that it’s worthwhile to walk through all the racks.) The houseware department has a few excellent items as well, so it’s definitely worth a look.”

“Really roomy with a little bit of everything – clothes, furniture, toys, books, and so on. The staff is quite friendly, and there are many high-quality things available. Invercargill’s best op shop, in my opinion.”

“I like the book section here. Also, because they arrange everything, the items are always of great quality and easy to find in terms of size. Also, being open on Saturdays is a plus!”

“My shopping experience at this op shop on Yarrow Street, Invercargill immediately across from Autoplex, was fantastic. Friendly and knowledgeable volunteers contribute to this shop’s status as one of the greatest op shops in Invercargill. Products are reasonably priced, and there is something for everyone. If I had something to donate, this would be the first place I would go because the things provided benefit the important work that the Hospice does for the community at large in caring for persons and families in need. The above shop has installed a more modern customer service counter, which is more inviting and acceptable to the eye than the previous one, since my last visit. It presents items of interest much more clearly and easily.”

“I love this business since it has amazing secondhand clothes at the best pricing. I go there at least once a week.”
